Giacomo, if I remember correctly, your LTSP server is installed in a
virtual machine, while clients run on real machines. This may potentially
cause problems with ltsp-PNP, because the NBD image for the clients is
built as a copy of the server, which runs on a virtual machine, and then
this system image run on a real machine. The (virtual) hardware of the
virtual machine may be a bit different from the hardware of the real
machine, and this is what may create some problems. I don't see how this
can affect Firefox and Chrome, but maybe it does.

So, what can you do to fix this problem? I would suggest that you keep the
home directories and user accounts on the virtual server, but build and
serve the NBD image from one of the client machines (you have to attach a
HDD to it first). The configuration file `lts.conf` on this machine should
include this directive as well: `LDM_SERVER=10.11.12.13`, where
`10.11.12.13` is the IP of the virtual server. This will ensure that the
authentication and home directories are served from virtual server, while
the NBD client image is served from the real machine. More details here:

But maybe I am totally wrong and the problem with Firefox and Chrome is
somewhere else. When assuming that the virtual machine may be the cause of
the problems I was just guessing. Maybe someone else knows something better
about how to fix this problem.

Is there someone experiencing the same issue?
