In the Ubuntu 18.04 guide you recommend MATE, is that in preference over
"ubuntu-desktop"?

I'm successfully running "ubuntu-desktop" with 16.04 already and had little
trouble getting it working, but I'm having trouble with 18.04 when adapting
your guide.

Can you add some detail to your guide on how to configure
ltsp-build-client.conf for MATE?

Currently, we add FAT_CLIENT_DESKTOPS="ubuntu-desktop" to
ltsp-build-client.conf. What is the equivalent for MATE?
