There were several changes from one version to the other that may have
contributed to your problem. I personally recommend that you back up
whatever files you wish first and then do a clean install of Ubuntu-Mate
18.04. Also, if you add the repo from the Greek Schools that has been
mentioned several times here you will get a newer and much better
working version of ltsp. Lastly, if all the pc's are capable of 64 bit
(and only if every one of them is) the 64 bit version is recommended.
