Hi Rolf,
We've been running dozens of wine programs on thin and fat clients for
more than a decade in 1000+ Greek schools without seeing this issue at
all. We're not using localapps/remoteapps but I don't think it would
make a difference.
I *suspect* that you're using some specific programs that have issues
with sshfs and file locks etc. If that's the case, you should either
pinpoint the issue and report it to the wine or sshfs developers,
or you could try switching to nfs home, which supports file locks better.
But that's just an assumption, as I have no programs that misbehave this
way (except for gnome-keyring which isn't a wine program).
Btw, in general, if anyone needs professional (paid) support and thinks
I might be able to help, feel free to P.M. me even if they're not
related to LTSP.
Cheers,
Alkis
