Joseph, my LTSP servers are VMs themselves. The host machine can be the
LTSP server, though, and we have done that in the past. The VM boots as a
client just like normal ones, you just need to make sure the VM has access
to the same network as the normal clients, which will depend on your
configuration and is outside of the scope of what I can help with here :)
How you configure the VMs to netboot depends on the hypervisor... libvirtd
and virtualbox are capable of netbooting VMs, though.
