Booting El Torito: LIL

Hello,

I can see from the mailing list, that
others have had the same problem:

Burning tomsrtbt-2.0.103.ElTorito.288.img
on a bootable cd, and when it boots,
you just get "LIL" and nothing else
happens.

The reason could be that the BIOS on the
machine can't read 2.88 Mb "floppies"
from the CD.

This can't be the case for my machine
(an IBM Netvista), as it boots a RedHat 7.3
CD fine, this has also a 2.88 Mb boot image:

My tomsrtbt boot directory:

-r-xr-xr-x    1 root     root      2949120 Jul  5 10:36 tomsrtbt.img

and the boot image on the RedHat CD:

-r--r--r--    2 root     root      2949120 Jul  3 15:33 
dosutils/autoboot/cdboot.img

The files have identical sizes.

I know for sure that the RedHat uses this image to boot
from as this is a home-made RedHat cd.

Why can redhat boot 2.88 Mb ElTorito CD's, and
tomsrtbt can't?
