There isn't really a 'proper' patch, right now, get:

I think those 3 cover it.  It has not been tried except on 2.2.20.

I would be grateful if someone does the work to make the proper Makefile
and Config and Config-help and patch format work so that I could submit
it as a real patch.  I think with those 3 you can 'make bz2bzImage'.
