On the subject of Lua-

I recently had a need to write a script for use with
tomsrtbt (user-friendly saving and restoring the MBR.)
I first tried a tomertbt shell script, but that did
not have the desired power (no math functions in the
bourne shell.)

Tom suggested the use of Lua to perform a needed math
function.

After looking into Lua, I re-wrote my entire script in
Lua and I am very happy with its capabilities.

So cast my vote for Lua.
