init HUP adding inittab entries not working still?

Hi

I saw it was fixed in 2.0.79 but if I uncomment the kill -HUP 1 line in rc.custom.gz boot hangs.

I'm probably doing something stupid but thought I'd mention it just in case.

I'm using 2.0.88 BTW.
