Hello there, Downloaded the 2.2 kernel version of tomsrtbt & have fallen for it in a bad way :^) The kernel config lacks 'CONFIG_PACKET' either as a module (err... af_net.o I think...) or built in; not sure what else tries to use it, but nmap fails without it... Also, there is no 'CONFIG_SYSVIPC'; which prevents cdda2wav... Would it be possible for you to generate sound modules? Or would there be space-overhead in the kernel even configuring everything possible as modules? The reason that I'm noticing the lack of these rather high-octane features is that I hacked together a little script 'expandtomsrtbt' to allow for 'on the fly' expansion of tomsrtbt either over the network (via wget) or from local files. Its only a quick hack, and the features that I have created as downloadables (mp3rip,mp3play,e3,nmap,thttpd, quake :) etc.) are rather specialised (especially for a rescue floppy) but I was hoping that the kernel limitations could be overcome with little size-creep... I would dive in myself; but kernel-source is large & my little P75 might take a little while to make dep... :) Oh, I also wrote a quick 'install2hd' script - you might giggle at the idea, but having a micro linux in a 5meg partition has come to be _incredibly_ useful :) If anybody has any requests for console / vga apps they would like libc5'd; just mail me a URL ;) Jarvist Frost -- Courdoroy pillows- They're making headlines!
