PS, a couple of more helpful answers...

- Tomsrtbt is not picky about the kernel
  The way I would approach your goals is
  I would make a 2.4.x kernel with every
  sound and network driver I wanted.  It
  only requires minix, floppies, and the
  ramdisk driver, any kernel will work.

- I encourage you to make your own based
  on tomsrtbt.  There are already floppy
  distributions that used tomsrtbt for a
  starting point.  Keep to the directory
  structure, and build what you want.
