Just a small note for next time; I find the debian archive is a good
place for tomsrtbt compatible binaries.
    http://ftp.debian.org/debian-archive/dists/

You want the 1.3.1 version for libc5 stuff.
To unwrap a *.deb without 'dpkg' you can use alien(1) or ar(1) plus tgz.
