Hi, Pete Scott says the last version of smbmount, smbfs,... solve problems... I'm not so lucky! I have tried: #insmod via-rhine.o #insmod smbfs.o #ifconfig eth0 192.168.52.100 netmask 255.255.255.0 up #route add -net 192.168.52.0 I get SIOCADDRT: Invalid argument I have tried "route add default eth0". I don't get error but the I get the same trouble when I smbmount. #echo "DeepGlue 192.168.52.1" > /etc/hosts Then I try to smbmount (downloaded today, to get the last version recommended) a shared directory on Samba server (security user): #smbmount //DeepGlue/commun /mnt/smb -o username=stephane I get errors, I give my password and I get other errors: ----------------------------------------------- Can't load /usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf - run testparm to debug it execvp of smbmnt failed. Error was No such file or directory.params.c:OpenConfFile() - Unable to open configuration file "/usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf": No such file or directory load_client_codepage: filename /usr/local/samba/lib/codepages/codepage.850 does not exist. load_unicode_map: filename /usr/local/samba/lib/codepages/unicode_map.850 does not exist. smbmnt failed: 1 mount.smbfs: ioctl failed, res=-1 Could not umount /mnt/smb: Invalid argument params.c:OpenConfFile() - Unable to open configuration file "/usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf": No such file or directory load_client_codepage: filename /usr/local/samba/lib/codepages/codepage.850 does not exist. load_unicode_map: filename /usr/local/samba/lib/codepages/unicode_map.850 does not exist. params.c:OpenConfFile() - Unable to open configuration file "/usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf": No such file or directory load_client_codepage: filename /usr/local/samba/lib/codepages/codepage.850 does not exist. load_unicode_map: filename /usr/local/samba/lib/codepages/unicode_map.850 does not exist. ---------------------------------------------- I don't understand why I get this with tomsrtbt2.0.23. I did and retry the same (nearly (the syntax differs for username in smbmount)) with Tomsrtbt1.7... and it works fine. Anyone can help? Thank you very much.
