Trustix Secure Linux Bugfix Advisory #2005-0063
Package names: iproute, isdn4k-utils, pkgconfig, tsl-utils
Summary: Various bug fixes
Date: 2005-11-11
Affected versions: Trustix Secure Linux 2.2
Trustix Secure Linux 3.0
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Package description:
iproute
Linux 2.6 maintains compatibility with the basic configuration utilities
of the network (ifconfig, route) but a new utility is required to exploit
the new characteristics and features of the kernel. This package includes
the new utilities (/sbin/ip, /sbin/rtmon).
isdn4k-utils
isdn4k-utils is a collection of various ISDN related utilities. This
package contains configuration tools for all ISDN adapters, supported
by Linux. Furthermore, several status-monitors are provided as well as
some ISDN-based applications.
pkgconfig
The pkgconfig tool determines compilation options. For each required
library, it reads the configuration file and outputs the necessary
compiler and linker flags.
tsl-utils
The Trustix Secure Linux utils is a set of utilities and scripts that
are made in the development process, and that really fit in no other
package.
Problem description:
iproute < TSL 3.0 >
- New upstream, specfile cleanup proposed by Olaf Rempel.
- Removed tex/sgml doc from rpm
- Moved arpd to subpackage
isdn4k-utils < TSL 3.0 >
- Initial Entry into TSL 3.0
pkgconfig < TSL 3.0 > < TSL 2.2 >
- Fixed underquoted definition warning, Bug#1373.
tsl-utils < TSL 3.0 >
- tsl-fixboot.sh cleanup proposed by Morten Nilsen.
- added initrd creation to be optional through sysconfig/bootloader.
