php-gzip (zlib.so)

Hi all,

 	a customer request me to activate the php-gzip (zlib.so).

The box is an TSL 2.2 with PHP 4.x

If I try to install the php-zlib  via swup, it want upgrade php from 4.x 
to 5.x.
I haven't find an equivalent php4-zlib, so I don't know how to solve my 
problem (without recompiling php ...).

Any hints?
