Really not that much work for someone with my skill sets. I mostly do stuff like this for fun...and because no one else is doing it. Applications that pay always seem to follow! In this case a friend of mine's company is using 1000's of copies of old embedded hardware costing tens of thousands of dollars per copy, that could be replaced by an Actiontec Dual PC modem with an internal Micro Drive (or maybe flash card)...all for probably for under $200 per copy. Plus it fits in the palm of your hand...and doesn't have a fan. That kind of thing appeals to me...more as a joke than a business opportunity in this case. Afterall, this stuff is so cheap, it's hard to imagine making much money selling it! (Sound like the book business?) I'm also sure there are lots of applications for something like that. The only question, will someone like Actiontec make it for us first. Besides, I think this box makes a great, cheap uClinux development target platform. You can even buy it at Radio Shack! Port the uClinux toolset to Cygwin and *everyone* (read the millions of Windows PC owners) can get involved! And...they're all gonna' need your book! :-) Best regards, Bruce -- Bruce D.
