mtu 1500 problems

[for the benefit of the archives:] I've been having severe problems uploading from my laptop ever since I started using the dpcm. In a flash of insight I (finally :) tried reducing the mtu on the laptop's ethernet port. Now it works like a charm. I cannot confirm whether it is an issue with the actiontec or with the isp's access router. But if anyone use is having such a problem try reducing the mtu.
