Thanks for looking at this, Oliver. Indeed, I had an older Qt version on my
system but wasn't aware of it.

I disabled building the unit tests and renamed all of the pkg-config files that
referred to the older version so that it will pick up the newer Qt in
/usr/local/lib and /usr/local/include. Now it is building OK.
