Hi List

Turns out the issue (I think) was the fact that while I was running
within the gnome terminal window as root for configure, make and make
install I wasn't logged into gnome as root ;).

Tried that this morning after running make clean and everything went
swimmingly (logged into Gnome as root). Looks great and I cannot wait to
start playing with it.
