I've seen posts in this list of people saying that they lost diagrams... but in my case I'm loosing diagrams, datatypes, classes, interfaces... and the really bad is that I've spent about 7 hours (almost the whole day of work) making class diagrams just taking care of clicking on "Save" every once a while, and when I closed Umbrello and opened it again to check my diagrams I had only 23 classes of a total of 91 I wrote, with their properties, methods, relationships... all lost!! (not only in the diagrams, also in the XMI file, I checked manually) The really funny (if funny was the correct word here) is that making a test to see wtf is happening, I see the following: 1 Created a class diagram in umbrello with 8 classes + 2 interfaces (with properties, methods and so on...) 2 Issue: "cat myProject.xmi | wc -l" and it returns 656 lines... 3 Closed and opened umbrello and opened the same xmi file (One of the interfaces and 4 classes dissapeared) 4 Issue: "cat myProject.xmi | wc -l" and it returns 317 lines... !!! for the last time... 5 Closed and opened umbrello and opened the same xmi file (Another class disappeared, now I have only 4 of the 10 initially created objects) 6 Issue: "cat myProject.xmi | wc -l" and it returns 315 lines... Thanks Umbrello, you made my day so productive... BTW... I'm using Umbrello 1.5.6 (kde 3.5.6) on Gentoo Linux. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
