Newbie question: Activity diagram arrows

Hi,

 

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I have checked the manual, the
FAQ, and the user email list, and I can't find anything about the issue
that I have.

 

I am trying to draw an activity diagram, but my arrows between
activities are going straight from one activity to the next, when I want
them to be square (i.e. horizontal and vertical with right angled
bends).  I have tried setting snap to grid on the diagram, but that
doesn't help.

 

I'm running on SuSE 8.2.

 

Also, I have noticed that if I draw a sequence diagram logged directly
onto my Linux box, and then view  the diagram via an X - Windows
session, the position of the arrows changes.

 

Any hints / tips gratefully received.
