For other users with the same problem:
In windowsXP the path of the umbrellorc file is

~\Anwendungsdaten\.kde\share\config

The search function of the windows explorer cannot find this file insite a dot folder.

I konw, this is really ugly :-(

Just delete /home/wolfgang/.kde4/share/config/umbrellorc
