Problems with reference and back reference

class diagramm: 
If I have two classes where one class references the other and the other has
a backreference to the first class, UML fails to draw two
open-arrow-connections between them. The first relation is drawn correctly, but the second, the
back-connection is drawn in the same direction as the first and it is
impossible to change the properties of this connection.
