upnp_tv_device works. next steps and a gui?

hi everyone,

i'm pleased to report that the upnp_tv_device built
cleanly and ran fine on my target device. i then ran
the upnp_tv_ctrlpt on a another machine. it was able
to see the tv emulator. so that's all nice.

my target device can control relays and i want to
treat it as a lighting device. meaning that i want it
ultimately to show up to upnp apps as a set of lights
that can be turned on and off. my plan is to modify
the tv device into a lighting device. is this
reasonable? has someone perhaps already done this and
made it available? then after that i'd be looking for
a nice looking gui app that uses upnp to control the
lights through my target device.

i took a look at http://www.intel.com/technology/upnp/
and pulled down all of the tools (remote io, auth
tools, idf tools) in the hope of finding something
pretty to talk to the tv device. i coudn't get any app
in that collection to see the tv device on my target
though. i could see the ssdp notify pkts showing up
when i ran the upnp sniffer but nothing else. does
anyone know which app of the above or any other gui
app that is known to work with tv device?
