Subscription_Request --- basic questions

Hi at all, i'm an Italian Student at Padua University.

I have basic questions about Upnp-SDK for Linux,  we would create an UPNP-net of embedded devices   ( with a distribuited DataBase of [web]services ).

First : UPNP technology needs necessarily a Control Point  ?

Second : when a device annunce its presence on the net , how it register from a Control Point ? And Where ? In a struct, table ?

Third: Anybody have developped something for embedded devices ?
