Help, I'm stupid

The UPnp Media Server that came with my Philips music device is a java
based piece of bloatware. Amazingly, I can't seem to find an open
source Media Server anywhere (tell me if there is one, please) so I
started off on my own...

And didn't get very far. It's not clear to me at all how and when my
callback(s?) get called. Right now I think there should be enough
there for the Media Server to get discovered by the Philips device,
but it's not.

There's a steep learning curve here.

Can someone look this over and tell me what I'm doing wrong?
