Hi Zhongwei,
When the device comes up with upnp enabled, an advertisement is sent
during the discovery phase. This would contain the IP address and port
of the device.
U can capture the SSDP (ssdp-alive) packets sent from the device at
the discovery phase and see that it contains both IP and port.
And also whenever there is a search request from the control point,
the device advertises the same.

I am new to upnp. I read through the UPnP architecture and could not
figure out how the control point get the ip address and port number from
devices. =20

The Discovery step is using HTTP over UDP over IP on
239.255.255.250:1900.

Then the Description is using HTTP over TCP. So the IP address and Port
number must have been sent to the control point. =20

Could anyone please tell me when and how the IP address and port number
been sent?
