Is it possible to operate a communication between a DLNA client and the UPNP AV server ?

Hi,

My DSL box ( SFR neufbox4, FRANCE ) is made with a Linux core. ( see http:/=
/www.efixo.com/neufbox4 )
it provides an UPNP server made by LIBUPNP-1.4.1 from //upnp/sourceforge.ne=
t .
I use already that server with my internet radio ( Philips NP1100 ).
That server exposes songs, pictures and videos ( files stored in an usb dis=
k plugged on the box )
I manage to play them on my radio. Until today I was in the best of the wor=
lds

I bought some months ago a new TV ( Samsung UE32D5000 ) which has the DLNA =
client feature.
I tried to operate the communication between my UPNP server and my tv.

If the tv is able to see the contents exposed by the UPNP server, the files=
 exposed are not seen as media files. When I try to play them, the answer i=
s "unknown type". I cannot display the images, listen the music....

is there a specific setting on the TV (DLNA client) or on the DSL box (UPNP=
 server) to solve that ?
is it normal I do not manage to play my files by that way ? or is not it ?
which is the precise difference between UPNP and DLNA ?
is there a way to manage to operate the communication ?
