If you have pthreads-win32 library, with some changes, you can run libupnp-based applications on win32 easily.
Ideally speaking, instead of pthreads-win32, you should make an ithread-compatible library which use winThread, win32 mutex and so
on.

I did it. Both of tvdevice and tvctrlpt run in my wi32-console.
I hope publish it. But I cannot publish the modified code.
Sorry, it was a part of my job. It might be my company's property.
Porting libupnp-1.2.1 to win32 platform was very easier than the case of upnpsdk-1.0.4.

If you create a upnp application for non-commercial use on win32,
you should use Intel AuthTools. It seems very good for rapid development.

Although you cannot run these applications in Windows, you can run them on
the Linux machine you built them on; and then use other Windows based tools
(such as Intel's Tools for UPnP Technology:
http://www.intel.com/technology/upnp/index.htm
<http://www.intel.com/technology/upnp/index.htm> ) to interact with the
device.

Tvdevice is a UPnP Device, while tvctrlpt is a UPnP Control Point that can
interact with the tvdevice. Simply run each from the command line. I'd
suggest taking a look at the source code for each sample program as well as
the included documentation if you want to learn more. Also, make sure you
have the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable set to the location of the
generated libupnp.so binary.

Hope that helps,
-Jack
