RE: Good book on UPnP, pls

Hi Tope,

I'm the co-author of the book "UPnP: Design By Example", and although I
certainly feel the book is good, I'll let other comment on that ;>.  To
my knowledge it is the only book available on UPnP.

The book is divided into three portions.  The first part covers the UPnP
Device Architecture and all related protocols, giving you in-depth easy
to read coverage of all the different phases of a UPnP Device.

The second part uses the open source Linux library for developing UPnP
devices, and walks the reader through developing a fully functional UPnP
device from start to finish.

The third and final part covers additional and related technologies,
such as UPnP A/V, and SCP.  The book also comes with a CD-ROM with all
the source code used in the book, additional documentation, and an
install for the Intel Tools for UPnP technology, which are incredibly
useful for your development.

You can find it on just about any on-line bookstore (Amazon, etc.), and
in many major bookstores.  Everyone I've talked to has really enjoyed
the book and found it to be a useful resource.  Take a look; I hope
you'll find it to be the same.
