I must agree with every bit of idealism in your post, and I do. You're right, by the way, Spain is a very street-oriented country and there's still no big risk of loosing our little-shop-in-the-corner mentality, thanks God, although big malls are threatening them pretty well too. I'm only saying how much I would love to switch (nice SUSE Apple-like campaign, by the way) tomorrow morning being this issue the only one stopping me from doing it. To be honest, the biggest offender is IngramMicro (an American company operating worldwide). I've sent letters to them (no results so far) but I invite you all to do the same (www.ingrammicro.com). It's probably one of the biggest computer parts wholesalers in the world and they EXPLICITLY tell you to use IE or you're not welcome. I'm doing my best to find other suppliers for their products and as a matter of fact only a few items remain being supplied by them only, but I hope also those go away. I hope you agree with me that I can't put my business in jeopardy because of this issue, and that's why I'm thinking of doing something programmatically about it. I haven't joined the Spanish Linux lobby yet for different reasons, but I admit it's time to forget worries about joining very radical elite-Linux types (most of the lobby is made out of these) and try to bring some common sense to them. :-) I've read very interesting suggestions and points of view on this subject from you guys. Thanks for that.
