The OpenOffice.org implentation that comes with RH9 has a really ugly font problem that cannot be fixed by anyone with less than a PhD in operating systemology. Many users have posted their frustrations with this problem, but nobody seems to have any answer. Yes, yes, I know it's not Linux. That's why it's a Linux annoyance. It's a typical Linux application problem that nobody has an answer to. Like the bugs in pppd: the author in the source says (in effect),"Don't bug me if you have a problem with any of this. I don't care" Or how about RH9's calendar dates on the desktop (elsewhere, too, probably)? All you get is day and month. How about an ANSI YY.MM.DD display? Forget it! RH9 doesn't do ANSI (ANSI's an American standard) display stuff. Probably have to use the German SuSE to get a decent date in America. This stuff is really annoying. Reilly Burke
