By far and away the best www editor in Linux is Quanta Plus.  It is not 
a wysiwyg (thank $Diety !), but a tool to help anyone update and create 
pages.  I'd suggest one of the thousands of free tutorials that abound 
to learn the basics of html and then use Quanta Plus. It ain't that hard 
to learn the basics !

There is a confirmed rumor that the folks that created Quanta are 
working on a wysiwyg version of it,  but it won't likely be GPL'd so 
therefore not free,  but why bother when Quanta does everything a web 
author needs now, except to drag and drop images and add horrendously 
bloated incorrect/invalid code like wysiwygs *DO* !

p.s. There are a ton of reasons to get upgraded past Mozilla 0.98 and 
KDE 2.2.2 also, but that is another rant ;-)
