then there are us average joes who know zilch about programming, learn
from our mistakes, read the manuals and the howto's, search on google,
join mailing lists, and help others from what we learn. our only
satisfaction being that we have contributed something back to the
community in whatever way we can. i've installed linux for people i've
never met before, solved hardware problems and explained the basics to
them.
