Hmm, thanks to everyone who pointed out CheckInstall, I'll have to give it
try next time I'm installing source on my Linux machine.

Still, it would be nice to see the option to remove software be as
universally accepted in software packaging as that of installing.

And if that happens please put down my vote as using the terminology of
install/uninstall so I don't have always second guess myself ;-)

Can't say I've noticed that kind of problem. Sounds like a big annoyance
however ;-)

Good to know. The more options to try when dealing with adding/removing
software the happier I'll be.
