Hi Isaac, Thanks for the idea. Actually, I *am* using a MS Intellimouse 1.1A. It is a wheel mouse. Unfortunately, while the wheel works fine when I am focused on a Win95 app, it does not work at all when I am focused on a Linux app. (I use a Win95 PC that has Xwindowing (of Linux RH8) provided by Cygwin running on Win95.) Maybe there is something about the Cygwin configuration or the Linux configuration which is not set correctly for this mouse.
