Just for the record, this is not a problem with Linux itself or any popular desktop setup when it is installed locally. I use KDE and it handles window switching just like Windows, by default. I recall that GNOME handles it similarly, as does Blackbox and probably just about every other window manage/desktop environment. The problem is with Cygwin, not Linux. -Isaac Hummel
