Very good point, but not the thrust of my annoyance. In all honesty, I did
think of this objection to using the same bindings. Which one would take
precendence? The problem is when it comes to redefing the key sequence, or
even being able to escape the screen or vi bindings so that the
application (vi), shell (screen and bash), terminal (xterm, konsole),
window manager (fluxbox, ice, gnome, kde) and X know what to do with each
sequence.
