My all-time biggest annoyance (this is more community than Linux per se)
is the overt, excessive, ridiculous bloat of "new projects" that are
similar, or the same as, some existing projects.

Even for non-trivial stuff - eg. search freshmeat or sourceforge for php
frameworks for example. Nearly 20 that possibly deserve further
analysis.

That seems crazy to me.
