Selecting the thread and deleting it took me about 2 seconds in Sylpheed.
Add another extra 10 seconds for reading the first post and deciding that it's
better to select and delete the thread since this is "annoyances", not "geek
philosophy chatter". I manged it all by my own. Go figure.

Yes, list admin, do it - and unsubscribe everybody else who clutters the list
