Dear List,
The National Informatics Centre is the apex body co-ordinating IT
initiatives within the Indian government.
Finally, they have woken up to the new world of FLOSS, and set up a
`portal'. Going straight to
http://osf.nic.in/openSourceSite/index_html will save you a click.
There are several issues from my perspective, which, at the moment,
can be attributed to general lack of awareness about the issues
involved in the FLOSS movement, and I will not bother this list with
tose. I have posted to the FSF-Friends list at
http://mm.gnu.org.in/pipermail/fsf-friends/2004-July/002189.html
