One can do a search to find links to a page on the Internet with Google
Advanced search. If you click on Advanced search and go to "page
specific search" and then use links you can see how a page gets ranked
by the number of links it has.

While MSN's bot seems to be disrupting content, it's doing so in a very
sophisticated manner. I would think someone might even consider
investigating this situation. Disrupting Google's search results seems
to me to be in restraint of trade.

We rerouted the hits from my minimally popular blog with very few links
to Amazon and of course, my book. Now the book made it to  the resellers
last week but sold out at Amazon over the weekend. I found that
interesting.

So, the solution of rerouting the page backfired on M$.

Also, for two days, my more popular articles began climbing in the
rankings again.

So while this may be old news, some of us may have something to help
others with the dilemma.
