Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce the availability of the draft report of the Canadian Federal government sponsored study of open source: Open Source Business Opportunities for Canada's Information and Communications Technology Sector (ICT) - A Collaborative Fact Finding Study The draft report is being made available for national public review and comment prior to preparation of the final draft (which is targeted for mid September). The report is available at www.e-cology.ca/canfloss/report and consists of two files. Report.pdf contains the main body organized in five Chapters that cover the methods and data measured in the study, and the analysis of trends and forecasts of the future. Appendix.pdf contains a series of appendixes with detailed information from the Study, including questionnaire results, profiles, licenses and scenario workshop report. If you are interested in providing comments please use the comment form provided (Comments.rtf) referencing the relevant line numbers for submitting your feedback.
