This concept must, I believe, be modified for the US.  I think that we
Murricans would talk about incorporation.  I ran my own one-person
business for twelve years, and when I started I checked into incorporation
and, with good advice, swiftly determined that it would cost me a lot
and bring me no advantage;  "Pixel Analysis", which I know you've all
heard of<g>, was and remains a solely owned proprietorship.

However, tux.org, where linux-pe is hosted, is incorporated; I know that
I spent a month or so trying to assure people that linux-pe isn't
"political" in the sense that would mess up the tax filings of tux.org.
I am still occasionally told that "linux-pe is indeed political" . . . <g>

But in the US it is not illegal to get together with friends, e.g. in
Dallas, and discuss how to approach e.g. the CIO or other technical
person who is in charge of e.g. the Dallas Library system(NB  no one is
AFAIK doing this at the moment, hence all the "e.g."s; there was some
confusion about this with one correspondent).  One simply does it.  And
one hopes that with 5 or so kool kats talking to said CIO, it might
be possible to bring illumination to her/him.  And who knows what
practical, tangible benefits might flow to people in the Dallas Linux
community if indeed the Dallas Library system were to become Linux-based.

Anyway, that's the theory.  That is what linux-pe is there for.  That is
what it is set up to do.  It is a free resource, available to all.
