Nothing USB:

Mouse in use:

present rate:            2031 mA
remaining capacity:      4302 mAh
present voltage:         1 mV

Sleeping mouse:

present rate:            1933 mA
remaining capacity:      4287 mAh
present voltage:         1 mV

Much less spectacular, but it clearly has an effect.
