But other programs might be involved also. An easy way to find out is to kill all the daemons that look suspicious, one at a time, while keeping an eye on the system log. Another approach is to use the "usbfs_snoop=1" module parameter for usbcore, and then see what shows up in the log. However I don't think it logs the process name.
