My tree is hid.git on git.kernel.org. The cleaned up patch is not yet 
there, I will send it to you when I commit it. I am waiting for more of

Is it possible that you will have chance to test it with patched 
hid-core.c in near future? (you will have to modify that if() condition 
trivially, so that it matches 0xde61 instead of 0xde64).
