Some extra info - you may want to look at the bug page in Bugzilla,

Apart from the device info and info about my machine, there is also the
following: the last kernel which was working was vanilla 2.6.18rc6
(kernel-linus-2.6.18.rc6.1mdv-1-1mdv2007.0) - comment #14. So it is not
that old. There was clearly something changed in the meantime, because
the recent 2.6.22 doesn't work anymore.
