this has been discussed long ago... the huawei thing needs some command to bring up the other tty-devices... your workaround is known to work in several cases but not on every machine ... i attached some piece of code which should make it work... it works on ubunut,slackware and opensuse... would be nice to know if something needs to be chanded to get the e220 work under redhat/fedora es well... i've had not enough time to figure out how the same thing could be done within the kernel-driver.. but the udev-script does this job as well (i hope) 73 Johann Wilhelm ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
