2.6.23-rc3, freeze during gadget ether usage

Hi,

I'm using 2.6.23-rc3 with AT91RM9200 and USB gadget ether. My device is 
essentially the same as an AT91RM9200DK.

I'm doing a test where I continuously plug and unplug the device from a Windows 
XP machine. The driver on the Windows side is the MCCI CDC-SAFE driver.

After a random number of dis/connections my Linux system freezes. There are no 
errors or warning logs, and no "oops!". Eventually the watchdog times out and 
it resets. If I disable the watchdog timer, it will never leave this frozen state.

The only logs I have is from the USB device but the freeze doesn't appear to 
occur in the same place each time, but I'd assume it is occurring in the same 
place inside the Kernel.

Two slightly different examples:

(1)
...
usb0: rx shutdown, code -108
usb0: rx shutdown, code -108
usb0: eth_reset_config
usb0: suspend
*crash*

(2)
...
usb0: suspend
usb0: eth_reset_config
*crash*

I've got a reasonable amount of kernel debugging enabled and I've tried several 
different kernel configurations. I can't get any more information than this and 
I've been trying for the last 2 days.  Sometimes the OS will even lock up on 
the first connection.

Any hints? is there something specific that I should look for? Has anyone seen 
this sort of behaviour before?

Should I wait for the proper 2.6.23 stable release?
